To change ISA Server installation options
- On Windows 2003 computers, click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add/Remove Programs.
- In Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server Setup, click Add/Remove.
- On the Welcome page, click Next.
- On the Program Maintenance page, select Modify.
- In Click on an icon in the list below, choose one or more of the following:
Firewall Services If you select this option, all the ISA Server services will be installed. ISA Server Management If you select this option, the management console used to centrally manage ISA Server will be installed. Firewall Client Installation Share If you select this option, a folder with all the files necessary to install the Firewall Client software will be created on the ISA Server computer. The folder will be shared to the Everyone group, thereby allowing anyone access to install the software. Message Screener If you select this option, the Message Screener.
- Click Next. Then, click Install to begin the installation.
Notes On Windows 2000, in Add/Remove Programs, click Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server, and then click Change or Remove. Before removing ISA Server, be sure to close ISA Server Management and ISA Server Performance Monitor. To perform this procedure, you must be a member of the Administrators group. If you install only ISA Server Management, you can remotely administer another ISA Server computer. ISA Server will not run on the local computer. When you install the Firewall Client share, the system policy rule named Allow access to firewall client share to trusted computers, which allows clients on the Internal network to access the share, is enabled. This rule must be enabled to allow the clients to install the software from the share.
